Tropica is an Indonesian family-owned furniture business that uses teak remnants from large manufacturers, resulting in minimal wastage of timber resource.

All Tropica teak is grown at Perhutani, a managed plantation that’s controlled by the Indonesian government and is part of the Legal Wood Indonesia Alliance. This head-to-toe approach to wood uses everything including the roots, and offcuts from tree limbs to make a truly unique product. Each piece matches the specified size but is unique, with knots, burrs, holes and gnarling adding to the character.

Some pieces are sanded smooth to highlight the beautiful luster of teak while other pieces are more rustic with a lightly distressed finish.

Tropica furniture is perfect for the home, but has also been used in multiple hospitality fit-outs and display home projects.
